Eat roses and wear their fragrance

[Challenge to eat roses and wear their scent]

When I tell people that "eating roses will make your body smell like roses," many are surprised and intrigued.
In fact, it is known that rose scent component geraniol is absorbed into the body and then released through breath and sweat. In theory, it has been thought possible to "wear the scent," but Ikki, a web designer and rose scent enthusiast, decided to test it himself.
Below is a message from Ikki.
[Enhance your daily life with the power of roses]
"At the events I host, I talk about how ingesting geraniol (the compound found in roses) will make your body smell like roses," but one day someone asked me, "Do you actually smell anything?" It's true that I've never experienced my own body emitting a scent, nor have I ever heard of anyone who has experienced this.
So I decided to try an experiment. I started a challenge to actively consume foods containing roses and geraniol. As part of this, I started incorporating Kushima Rose's "edible roses (edible fresh flowers)," "rose jam," and "RLB."
Edible roses are so beautiful that they will take your breath away. Not only are they visually beautiful, but they also have a mellow fragrance that will add a touch of elegance to your dinner table.
I was very happy during the challenge, enjoying the pleasure of smelling the roses with every bite.
I had heard that the roses were fresh and grown without pesticides or fertilizers, so I assumed they would only last for 3 or 4 days, but I was surprised to find that if stored properly in the refrigerator, they could be enjoyed for over a week.
When I eat a rose salad in the morning, I feel energized even after work, and I really feel like I've received the life force of roses.
Also, by simply replacing marmalade in a recipe with rose jam, the flavor instantly becomes more vibrant. The aroma enhances the entire dish, transforming it into a dish with a lingering aftertaste.
The lunch meeting on September 6th marked the end of the one-month challenge to smell like roses.
"Does it really smell?" we wondered as we approached Ikki together with the other participants...and we were greeted with the soft, fragrant scent of roses!
Everyone present shared a sense of surprise and excitement, and it was a moment when the theory was backed up by experience.
Ikki says:
For me, roses as food are not just a food ingredient, much less a decoration, but something that brings richness to the mind and body. I am still in the process of verifying whether or not the scent of roses comes from my body, but this experience made me realize how much more vibrant and energizing my daily life can be just by incorporating roses into my diet.
