My first encounter with pesticide-free flowers was in 2008
It all started when I was moved by the strong energy of the pesticide-free flowers that my mother gave me as a gift for my 38th birthday.
Later, I discovered that the reason for this was that the flowers were grown without the use of pesticides, using only the natural power of the flowers.
I know it's in full bloom.
Flowers are generally not eaten, so a lot of pesticides are used in their cultivation, polluting the soil and water...
I felt like a pillar of light had appeared.
"I have to tell everyone about this."
My sense of mission was ignited.
With no intention of selling them, the room is filled with pesticide-free roses
"Let me buy those flowers every week!"
From then on, over 100 roses were delivered to our house every week.
At the time, I was working in a different job, so flowers were not my specialty.
One day, when I was at my wit's end and had no idea where to sell them,
"I think I'll try it."
Or so I thought. It's pesticide-free, so it should be fine.
I didn't think it was particularly tasty, but I vividly remember feeling great after eating it.
This scent has soothed me.
The flowers were chopped up and put into cookies, baked into cakes, and made into syrup and jam.
Edible roses that turn on women's hearts
I got divorced at the age of 33 and raised my daughter, who was three years old at the time, as a single mother.
I was always on edge and fighting something.
It was the rose that opened the door to her heart.
I went to a local patisserie and asked if I could make a product using pesticide-free roses.
With the cooperation of chefs, a variety of rose foods, including syrups, jams, and sweets, were created.
By transforming pesticide-free roses into delicious treats, we hope you will incorporate them into your daily life.
It has become a great joy for me to be able to help my customers find a way to make their daily lives a little happier.
In particular, we started in 2014 with the aim of expanding the possibilities of edible roses.
The Edible Rose Luncheon had a total of over 2,700 participants.
It has grown into a popular event to welcome visitors.
Treat yourself to the blissful experience of eating fresh roses.
I hope you will enjoy this moment.
Contributing to society through edible roses
When we tackle environmental issues, we need to put in a lot of effort.
However, when it comes to "protecting pesticide-free rose farmland," By eating more roses and feeling more graceful, we can help protect the environment.
In 2022, Kushima Rose inherited the business of an edible rose farm in Hida City, Gifu Prefecture, with which it had a connection, and is committed to natural farming methods that do not use pesticides or fertilizers.
Through activities in nature such as picking roses and farm work, We hope that our customers will find a time to feel refreshed and rejuvenated, and that these efforts will be a small spark of hope that will increase the number of people connected to the local community and bring about new encounters and smiles.
